Domiciliary Care Insurance FAQs

Does this Care insurance policy include abuse cover?

Yes. The policy does not exclude abuse and will protect you where you are legally liable for allegations made against you for the likes of sexual, mental and physical attacks on residents.

Are we able to increase our liability indemnity limits to comply with specific Local Authority Contracts?

Yes, we can increase the indemnity limit in respect of public liability to £10 million for a small additional charge.

Why do I need employers’ liability insurance on my practice policy?

You are required to have employers’ liability insurance if your business has employees. The requirement applies irrespective of whether your staff are full or part time

What does medical indemnity cover you for?

Medical indemnity insurance cover includes acts or omissions in the course of your professional duties. This can include injury, misdiagnosis, delays in referral, physical or mental harm to a patient. It doesn’t cover against incidents that occurred before the life of your policy.

Can I pay in instalments?

If you would prefer to spread the cost of your policy we can direct you to our preferred suppliers LDF or Metro Bank
